As a non-traditional student, Virginia began her undergraduate studies at age 40 to enrich her life but soon realized that teaching math was where she wanted to focus. After completing her undergraduate program and teaching for a few years she decided to pursue a graduate degree in math / education at Plymouth State University. Here she learned to enrich her lessons with technology and new strategies to help students with different learning styles.

When not teaching Virginia can be seen running the roads and trails around New Hampshire or birding at Plum Island, Massachusetts.  She has been tailoring clothes for many years and enjoys making her own clothes.
