Scot Langdon

Teacher, Technology, Film Making

Mr. Langdon teaches technology and media arts here at The Founders Academy. This year is his second year at the school. Previously, Mr. Langdon has taught general education and technology/media arts in Amesbury, Lawrence, Tewksbury and Lowell MA. Most recently, Scot taught technology and media arts at the Sullivan Middle School in Lowell, educating 5th-8th graders.

During the summers, Mr. Langdon teaches photography and filmmaking for kids; during the school year he teaches nights at area technical high schools in the adult education programs.  Mr. Langdon is very excited to be back in his home state teaching inquisitive kids in technology and how to express themselves through photography and filmmaking.

Prior to teaching, Mr. Langdon spent a few decades in the Information Technology industry (software/hardware/services) as a Project Manager/Sales Executive.

Scot began his career in the news industry, working for community and regional metro daily newspapers covering politics, news, and sports stories. After graduating from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, Scot spent five weeks in Israel in the Upper Galilee on Kibbutz Malkiya (a work community) photographing a picture story of kibbutz members and volunteers as they worked day to day. He then worked for years as a staff news photographer for daily newspapers, most recently The Lowell Sun.

Scot continues his photography and filmmaking practice with his studio in Lowell MA.
