Teacher, Science

My life has been a series of many wonderful adventures, too many to go into detail here. Perhaps one day when the hour is right, the sky is still, and the moon is full we will tell each other of the stories that make up our lives. I was born and educated on Long Island NY, but did most of my teaching in Prince George’s County MD. I retired from teaching in 2017, but returned to the classroom recently. I summered on Lake Winnipesaukee with my maternal grandparents, and frequently sailed and went to Red Sox Games. Becoming a Sox fan proved a bit problematic when I returned to school on Long Island.

Education is my second, or is it my third carrier? I was a business consultant; my hobbies include sailing, and riding horseback, and I have four [4] published books, so I guess that I’m also a writer.

I have discovered that the way that I find significance and giving meaning to my life is by taking what I have gained from my experience, that gave me strengths, and that gave me certainty and to pay it forward. So, with every new day dawning I climb out of my cot, strap on my shield, pick up my sword and exit my pavilion. I mount my steed and ride off to do battle with the immortal three-headed dragon: Apathy, Arrogance, and Ignorance, and its bastard child poverty.

And at day's end and nightfall I climb back into bed knowing that today I was important, I touched lives in a positive way and perhaps I even made a difference. And tomorrow, ah yes tomorrow with the love of the almighty, and a bit of passion and courage I get to do it all over again, but tonight; tonight, I sleep and dream of better lives for my students and ways to win those battles. Tonight, I dream, Hazzah!
