Founders Gives BackFounders Academy Students Give Back

Giving BackFifth-grade students from The Founders Academy Public Charter School, located in Manchester, NH, joined forces with the school’s National Elementary Honor Society and Girls on the Run group in a service project to write anonymous letters of hope for their local homeless community. Those letters were then wrapped around fleece blankets and tied with ribbon donated by Founders Academy families. The blankets were donated by Blankets of Hope, an educational non-profit that teaches students to practice empathy and kindness, to Boxes of Love for the Homeless. Boxes of Love is a mobile triage unit based in Candia, NH, that travels throughout the state to support those facing poverty, hunger, and homelessness. Boxes of Love will distribute 50 blankets made by Founders Academy students. “Giving back to our community is an important part of The Founders Academy's mission. The kindness these students are spreading will make a positive impact on our community,” said Cassie Hayes, Dean of School.

The Founder
Giving Backs Academy is a public charter school for students in grades 5 through 12 that is free and open to all New Hampshire students. The Academy develops leaders who understand and apply the lessons of the past, demonstrate exceptional character and lead by example. The Academy recognizes the importance of balance in the development of the whole person, and respects each student's journey.

Principled leadership is fostered by means of a curriculum of classical studies that includes analyzing the lives of great men and women of history, mining the rich classical ideals of the Western tradition, and tracing the evolution of the precious and costly idea of liberty.

The Founders Academy is accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year. To learn more about The Founders Academy or to apply for admission, visit www.thefoundersacademy.org.
