Three Founders Academy Students Qualify for All-State Chamber Festival
On January 11th, The Founders Academy Public Charter School sent three qualifying students to the New Hampshire All-State Chamber Festival at the University of New Hampshire in Durham.
This annual festival consists of top-scoring students from the All-State auditions and creates multiple mini-chamber ensembles including string orchestra, wind chamber, quartets, jazz combo, choral ensembles, and percussion ensemble.
The students representing The Founders Academy include Graciela Vignart (Viola, class of 2025), Sofia Vignart (Cello, class of 2025), and Colton Gallagher (Clarinet, class 2027). These three Founders students spent the day at UNH working with the best students in the state. Vignart and Gallagher acted as the principals of their respective sections.
"These students have worked so hard to get to this point. They are led by strong band directors who have spent countless hours supporting them through this process. I am proud of their accomplishments and look forward to see what the future holds for them," said Dean of School, Cassie Hayes.
The Founders Academy is a public charter school for students in grades 5 through 12 that is free and open to all New Hampshire students. The Academy develops leaders who understand and apply the lessons of the past, demonstrate exceptional character and lead by example. The Academy recognizes the importance of balance in the development of the whole person, and respects each student's journey.
Principled leadership is fostered by means of a curriculum of classical studies that includes analyzing the lives of great men and women of history, mining the rich classical ideals of the Western tradition, and tracing the evolution of the precious and costly idea of liberty.
The Founders Academy is accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. To learn more about The Founders Academy or to apply for admission, visit www.thefoundersacademy.org.
