Remarks made by Dean Mooney at the End of the Year Convocation Ceremony:
"Before my closing remarks of the school year, I want to introduce you to a new annual award called the 'Student Leader of the Year Award.'
Each year the Dean of School will choose a student who exercises leadership qualities including positivity, reliability, taking on lots of responsibility, and using excellent judgment. In essence, this person 'steps up' to assist where needed. This year's award recipient was:
1. Stage manager for 'Little Women,' who assisted with the details of moving the set to various locations during the competition
2. Secretary of the High School Senate
3. Chief promoter and organizer of the Spring Fling
4. Photographer for the yearbook
5. Organizer of the Senate breakfast
The first annual Student Leader of the Year Award goes to . . Emily A.”
