John Stark Day 2022
The History of John Stark Day and Founders Academy
In 2017, a group of students at The Founders Academy Public Charter School lobbied to have John Stark Day changed so that it was celebrated during the school year instead of during April Vacation. On April 13, 2017 Governor Chris Sununu signed Founders Academy student-led bill HB91 into law at the Founders Academy Public Charter School. Since that day, because of the leadership skills of our students, John Stark Day is recognized on the second Monday of April in the state of New Hampshire.
This year to raise awareness of what the students of The Founders Academy accomplished and to commemorate General John Stark’s illustrious service to New Hampshire, our school will be holding a John Stark Day Scavenger Hunt and Online Presentation.
Sign up for the events celebrating John Stark Day!
How can you be involved?
With a $200 donation, your business will have its logo featured alongside the clues in the scavenger hunt! (

)
Every participant in this fundraiser will see the clue, and as a result, your logo! In addition to the scavenger hunt, The Founders Academy will be hosting a virtual event on April 11th. With your generous donation, your logo will also be displayed on every slide during the online event as well as on our website. We have invited Governor Chris Sununu and other local dignitaries to this event as well as our entire school community so your sponsorship gets fantastic visibility to our community!
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, your donation is fully tax-deductible.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

About the Founder's Academy and John Stark Day
Each year The Founders Academy celebrates John Stark Day with a breakfast fundraiser honoring the "Hero of Bennington." Please join us on the
second Monday in April
as we honor the soldier and military General.
Stark fought in the Battle of Bunker Hill and later led a militia of more than 1400 in a victory over British Gen. John Burgoyne at the Battle of Bennington on Aug. 16, 1777. This victory is widely regarded as the turning point of the war, also gave New Hampshire its motto:
"
Live free or die.
