Emergencies and Student Safety at The Founders Academy

Updated September 2022 - Updated COVID Isolation and Quarantine Procedures
As you may be aware, NH DHHS and CDC have updated their COVID guidance for isolation and quarantine. The complete guidelines can be found here.

The Founders Academy has consistently followed state guidance as closely as possible while working to maintain a safe environment for our students, staff, and families. We review the guidance and update our procedures accordingly.

The updated isolation and quarantine procedure Founders follows: If a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19 regardless, of vaccination status, he/she must isolate (be out of school) for at least 5 days. A well fitted mask is recommend for 5 more days.

Note: This procedure could change based on the increase in COVID cases in our community.

Thank you for your continued effort to keep our community safe.

Student safety is the first priority for Founders' faculty and staff.
As such, the school has a standing internal committee to monitor and address safety. That committee is called the Founders' Safety Committee.

The Safety Committee is made up of teachers, administrators, and staff with frequent consultation from the Manchester Police and Fire Departments. It was created to establish and review safety and emergency procedures as well as instruct teachers to assist students with these procedures. Students regularly practice safety drills throughout the school year and discuss safety procedures in classes.

The Safety Committee continues to review safety procedures in order to evaluate and update as needed. The Safety Committee meets once per month or more if necessary.
