Technology Department at The Founders Academy

Technology Department
Technology opens more doors for students than any other discipline in today's world. Learning even the basics will help students in virtually any career — from architecture to zoology. Just as we teach students how to dissect a frog, or how electricity works, it's important for every 21st century student to have a chance to "dissect an app," or learn how the Internet works.

The primary goal of the Computer Technology program at The Founders Academy is to develop knowledge of ethical, responsible use of technology tools in a society that relies heavily on information knowledge for decision making. Students become proficient in the use of industry standard applications to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, and create information within the context of the core subjects.

This year in computer science is about building foundation-based technology skills that students will draw upon throughout their educational experience at The Founders Academy. Students will learn about how to be a citizen in digital society.
