Hi, I'm Giselle Doherty and I am so excited to be a school counselor here at The Founders Academy! I have a passion for helping students find success in their academics while helping them navigate their mental health & social-emotional needs!

I have had a passion for working with adolescents since I was in high school, even taking my summers during college to volunteer at orphanages in Latin America for months at a time. I spent all four years of college being a youth staff worker with middle school-aged students at my local church. I even worked in Hawaii for three months helping students with their mental health and academic goals! The more I helped adolescents the more I realized I really did enjoy helping them achieve their goals and putting them on track to a successful life after they finished school. My goal is to do the same for my students here at Founders and know that guidance is always a safe space for them.

If I am not busy doing graduate school work or here at founders you can usually find me traveling to a new area of the world! I love traveling with my husband and exploring new places we haven't been to before. I also enjoy going to concerts and spending time with my family when I can.

I am so excited to work here at Founders!
